The 2006 Project was
Project Punjab: Helping Girls Into
School
This project is in partnership with
Oxfam GB, a charitable, British development,
relief and campaigning organization that works
with others to find lasting solutions to poverty
and suffering around the world.
The aim of this project is to increase girl's attendance and improve the quality of
education at
six primary schools in rural impoverished areas of Punjab
Province, Pakistan. |

Project Five-0
supports vocational training for women and girls in developing countries
and countries in transition. It is funded by a coalition of five
international women’s organizations. |

The Violet Richardson Award |
|
Named for the president of the first
Soroptimist club, the Violet Richardson
Award honors girls who are making a
difference through volunteer service.
Each year, Soroptimist clubs honor girls
who donate their time and energy to
causes that make the community and world
a better place. |

Making a Difference for Women Award acknowledges
women who are working to improve the lives of
women and girls through their personal or

Golden West
is part of the Federation of

Golden West
Region serves the area of:
San Bernardino and Riverside Counties of California;
Arizona, except Yuma County,
New Mexico and
El Paso County in Texas. |

There
are 63 Soroptimist clubs of the Golden West Region with
approximately 2,000 members.

Clubs are divided into 4 Districts. |
