CLUB GIVING
Bailey overcame having a transient mother, extreme poverty, and homelessness. As a teenager of great intelligence and ambition, Bailey enrolled in her high school’s alternative program and completed the last two years of school in just a few months.

Bailey says, “My dream is to dedicate my life to serving others, and I will stop at nothing to carry out that dream.” Bailey is well on her way to achieving her goals. Among her many accomplishments, Bailey is running for international president of Phi Beta Kappa, a prestigious honor society founded in 1776 in the United States.

Bailey represents the best of Soroptimist—when clubs, regions, and headquarters work together. Club Giving is what made her SIA $5,000 award possible. Your Club Giving contribution will go toward our Dream Programs.

As Soroptimists, it is so important that we support women and girls in our own community and around the world, AND our own organization. The best way we can do that is through Club Giving.  To date, 37% of Golden West Region clubs participate.  What is holding your club back?  If you have any questions about the 10% Club Giving contribution, please contact Vanessa at vanessa@michaelalanaz.com.   While your dues cover the administrative costs and operating expenses associated with belonging to an international organization, they do not provide any direct support to women and girls. Encourage your club to send 10% of your club’s annual income to Soroptimist through the Club Giving program by May 31st.

FOUNDERS PENNIES
Founders Pennies is a time honored tradition since 1943 - just six pennies for every year of our existence per member.  The pennies are used to fund the Live Your Dream Awards; Dream It, Be It; and other SIA programs that improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Founders Pennies represent approximately 10 percent of the total $1.7 million contributed to fund federation programs.  Send your pennies by May 31st!

WISH I MAY, WISH I MIGHT
Every dollar (DREAM) counts!  Fill up your Dream Jar and turn in your donation to your club treasurer by May 15th.   If you turn in $100 or more, you’ll receive a DREAM MAKER PIN.  Drop off one jar representing your club in the Gila Room at Spring Conference.  Contact  vanessa@michaelalanaz.com if you have any questions.
