organization for
business and professional
women who work to improve the lives of
women and girls, in local
communities
and throughout the world. |

Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in 120 countries and territories
contribute time and financial support
to community-based and international projects that benefit women and
girls.
There are 3,000 Soroptimist International clubs. |

The
Golden West
Region |
serves
the geographic area of:
San Bernardino and Riverside Counties of California;
Arizona,
except Yuma County,
New Mexico and
El Paso County in Texas. |

There are 58
Clubs in the Golden West Region. |
|
|
|
Soroptimist members belong to
local clubs which determine the focus of
volunteer work in their communities. Club
projects can range from renovating domestic
violence shelters and providing mammograms to
low-income women, to sponsoring self-esteem
workshops for teenage girls. |

Soroptimist clubs also
offer their members opportunities for friendship with other
professional and business women in their communities and
leadership training.. |

‘STOP THE TRAFFIK’ is a global movement against the
trafficking of people. It has more than 1,000 member organizations in 50
countries and a grass roots following of ordinary activists around the

babies independently having completed their

SIerra was a four year partnership between Soroptimist
International and
Hope and Homes for Children
that transformed the lives of deprived women and children
